                    "　享保年間に、芳賀郡田野辺村（現市貝町）の宮大工永野万右衛門の手で完成した堂宇で、市内で最も古い木造建築であろうといわれている。\n　堂は、入母屋風の二重屋根（現在は瓦葺であるが以前は石葺）で、基礎は大谷石を二重積みにして土台に利用した珍しいものである。また、斗拱（ときょう）・欄間等にみられる彫刻は、特に優れたものと言われている。木造平家建・三間四面。"
